Sad to hear, why did Cindy pass so young?

I became friends with Cindy back in elementary school. We lived not far from each other. In 1980 I ran into Cindy at Primary Children's Hospital when her baby girl and my baby boy were both in ICU. We saw each other quite often in those days because of our sick babies. She told me that during college she had been diagnosed with some kind of cancer. I saw her now and then over the years but don't know why she died so young. I know she had several children and I'm sure they miss her terribly. She was a sweet, kind person.
