Text:

Pamela Vernon Whitney 1957 ~ 2007 Pam was born on May 22nd, 1957. Growing up, she visited Park City often with her parents, Weldon and Bernita Vernon, where she would play in the old houses and buildings- and ski. As soon as she could, after attending Utah State University, she moved to Park City. She lived in the Fletcher's house on Park Avenue which became "Go, Big Sports." There, she met me, her long-time boyfriend, Rick Whitney. We spent several years pursuing our careers as graphic artists together, and we were married late last August. We visited the Caribbean several times, and our experiences there changed Pam's life. She knew she was meant to live by the gentle waters, and her dream was to move to Roatan Island. Pam worked like a giant woman to accomplish her dream. She worked so hard, but the work took a toll. On the evening of December 23rd, 2007, after only eight days on the island, her little body and her little heart failed her. She felt no pain. I love you, Pam. And I will truly be lost until I see you again. Gerplaack! We will celebrate Pam's life at a later date.
