Randy passed away on 09/29/2009


Randy Ray Cornia 1957 ~ 2009 Randy R. Cornia, God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched him, and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Our Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Hero passed away Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 from complications associated with ALS. He passed with dignity, grace, determination and a sense of humor, the same way he lived his life.Randy made a great impact on many peoples lives, loving, caring, helping and touching them in ways that will never be forgotten. He was an avid lover of music and all things outdoors. He worked laying carpet, then later working for Chevron Refinery where he made many great friends and a good life for his family. Annette and Randy were married June 23, 1987, their marriage was later solemnized in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on September 11th, 2009. Survivors, wife, Annette; children, Katie (Jake) Ainsworth, Collin and Alexis; special friends his dogs, Max, Ruffie and Darla; mother, Darlene (Loren) Roberts; father, George (Elaine) Cornia; sister, Diana (James) Anderson, brother, Steven (Julie) Cornia and sister, Lori Sugar; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister, Georgeanna; brother, Jerry; and grandparents. Celebration of Randy's Life will be Saturday, October 3rd, 11 a.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So. in Sandy, where friends and family may call on Friday 6-8 p.m. and also on Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. A donation account in Randy's name has been set up at Zions Bank. We would like to thank all those friends and neighbors that were such great support over the years.
